UNHQ, New York –* At the 69th session of the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women (CSW69), a dynamic delegation from China took center stage, bringing with them powerful stories of innovation, compassion, and bold visions for a more sustainable and equitable future.
Welcomed by UN Secretary-General António Guterres, who praised civil society for “driving equality forward in the face of obstacles,” the Global Alliance for Sustainable Development Foundation introduced over 20 Chinese entrepreneurs whose work is transforming lives across health, education, technology, and culture.
Leading the group was Zhang Qi Hua, Chairman of the Foundation, who emphasized the importance of civil society partnerships. “We’ve brought excellent Chinese companies to the UN,” he said, “to help more women and children, and to promote the UN’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals through arts, culture, and innovation.”
From healthcare to holistic healing, the delegation presented diverse strategies to empower women and protect communities. Danny Xiang, Founder & CEO of Saint Claire Group, advocated for integrating Asian, evidence-based wellness into global healthcare systems to provide better emotional and financial support for women. Similarly, Dong Shunzhu, General Manager of Guoyantang Science & Technology, highlighted her mission to improve the health of millions through detox and nutrition while empowering 10,000 women to become health advocates.
Zhou Jie, Chairwoman of the Entrepreneur Health Club, echoed that theme, explaining how their health technologies are being used to support global NGOs in reaching more women and children globally. For Luo Huiping, a 20-year veteran in the medical aesthetics industry and Founder of Gamiga Medical Beauty Group, it’s about restoring confidence. Her eye rejuvenation treatment, she said, “has helped many regain confidence and improve their quality of life.”
The mental health and education sector was well-represented, too. Yuan Ping from Shanghai Miaoz Hihai Culture Communications shared that her company has trained over 1,300 mental growth mentors to support peaceful, healthy development in women and children. Her colleague Zhang Chao added, “By blending Eastern wisdom with Western psychology, we help people understand themselves, overcome obstacles, and create meaningful lives.”
That message was echoed by Zhou Huiling of Changsha Lingzhihui Education Consulting, who spoke passionately about spiritual wisdom education. “We’ve helped over 300,000 women grow and succeed,” she said, “and we believe Chinese women should influence the world with their unique strengths.”
Creativity and culture were also at the heart of the forum. Sun Yanqiu, CEO of Qilin Co-Creative Brand Agency, revealed a custom silk scarf her team designed to honor women at CSW69. “We incorporated 5,000 years of Chinese patterns and the theme of ‘Sisi Ruyi’—meaning everything as wished. It’s a blessing for women everywhere.”
In the field of environmental innovation, Deng Zhonghua of Yimiba Ocean Technology explained how her inspiration came from a mother’s wish: for children to grow strong, smart, and healthy. Her company produces nutritious seafood to meet that vision, ensuring healthy meals are accessible and affordable.

Bringing a tech-forward perspective, Zhu Xiaoling of Shanghai Shuyuanzhi AI Technology is building a global artificial intelligence platform to support women and institutions around the world. “We aim to turn our forums into a visual, connected network,” she said, “to benefit humanity and promote sustainable development.”
This remarkable group came not just to participate—but to lead. Through their words, their work, and their presence, they reminded the world that sustainability is not a theory—it’s action, compassion, and a commitment to the future.
As CSW69 continues, their voices stand as proof that when women rise, societies thrive—and that global progress is stronger when built together.
